Hi all!

I dunno if any of you would be able t'help me out but I thought I'd check anyway ...

Many of you have met my daughter, Cassi. She was involved in a car accident on Friday. She was travelling through an intersection when a gal turned left running th'red light and "T-ed" her. She saw it comin and was able to move just enough t'avoid th'straight on "T" so it took out th'front of her Jeep. She's okay for th'most part ... All of her x-rays came back okay, she's just SUPER sore.

There was an officer at th'red light that saw th'entire thing (how often does THAT happen?) and ticketed th'other driver.

Of course we're dealin with th'insurance companies and tryin t'get this resolved but you know how they can be ... UGH! They're sayin that they need t'do a "liability interview" with Cassi b'fore they'll agree t'fix (or total, most likely) her Jeep, pay any monies and provide her with a rental car ...

This frustrates me 'cause th'ticketed driver also ADMITTED fault ... Her insurance company says, "That doesn't matter, we still have to conduct our interview prior to making any decisions". If she was ticketed and admitted fault, WHY?

Anyway ...

Cassi is in her last year of school t'become a Respiratory Therapist and these next few weeks are critical. She cannot afford t'miss classes or exams.

I am still in Arkansas with my mother after my father passed away last week, helping her deal with arrangements, doctors, pension, social security, etc., etc. (Another UGH!). I'm feeling SUPER helpless 'cause I can't do anything for Cassi right now.

She's too young to rent a car in her name from th'rental car agencies ...

This brings me to what I need help with ... And, please know that I'm hating bringing this t'you all but I just can't do anything else about it AT THIS MOMENT.

If ANYONE has an extra car that they're not using daily and would RENT it to ME for a couple of weeks (at th'most) for Cassi t'drive 'til th'insurance company gets off their ass, I'd greatly appreciate it! I don't expect a "handout", I will pay someone for th'use of their vehicle.

Thank you for your consideration in what can only be described as th'hardest time in my life.

Don't pimp and slice have a couple of weekend drivers just hanging out in their garages?

Or I could lend the taco, even though it isn't street legal. T-bone? What T-bone? They'd just go under... or Cassi would go over.

:P

Not to make light of the situation, definitely sorry to hear the string of bad news.

Tommie,

We have an extra van but my sister-in-law is using it until Thursday. It will be available Friday for Cassi if you still need a vehicle. Call me, 303-901-9162.

Thank you all for your responses! I knew I could count on th'Colorado foos family ... You guyz are awesome!

Th'insurance company stepped up t'day, conducted their interviews, made their report and got Cassi a rental car! Yaaaay!

Of course they wanted her to "resolve" t'day and I told her "no way!". Thankfully I had her three-way me on th'phone so she didn't get sucked in ... I hate dealin with insurance companies!

We're still waitin t'see if they'll fix or total th'Jeep but, at least for now, she's got transportation to and from school and work.

Thanks again for your generous offers, you guyz ROCK! That's just one of th'reasons I miss you all!
