I have just been in contact with the owner from Pinke's in Westminster who has asked me to start a weekly foosball tournament at their establishment.
Currently they have six Tornado's all of which are comparable (some better) than the tables you would see at the Break Room or Old C's in Longmont.
He is really adament about starting back up foos tourneys(i mean he wants them back BAD!).
I guess years back Spear was running them but he had to give Spear the boot because he started preaching to all his customers every week and scaring the shit out of most of them.
Looking at the current local tourney schedule and keeping in mind that I wouldn't want to step on anybody's shoes who currently has a tourney on that schedule I would say that Monday would be perfect being there isn't a tourney on that day.
The tourney could be singles, DYP, BYP, or whatever you guys would like I guess. I just thought I would first make this post since there is a big core of serious foosers who login to this site regularly and probably the best way to get the word out about this venue.
Before I write chapter's 2-50 on this post I will shut up and leave it to the all of you to ask around and get a consensus of all the local foosers and what they think about a tourney on Monday.
I know that Jeff @ the Longmont Old Chicago tourney is looking for somewhere to move his tourney since Old Chicagos in Longmont only has two tables, starts at 7:30, and ends around 12:30 (no SHIT!). Maybe someone should let him know about Pinke's although it would be my opinion to keep the Longmont tourney in Longmont and start a new one on Monday.
WE NEED FOOS EVERYDAY, SPREAD THE WORD AND POST YOUR OPINIONS!!!!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!

Last time I was at Pinkie's, they just had all old tables, and they weren't in good condition at all.
I think the Cue has a solid lock on Tues/Sat (don't think the Fri will last).
I think the Wed one in Longmont would be best if it could move down to Pinkie's, but I doubt that'll happen.
I really don't care, because I can only handle so much foos a week. I can't spend every night of the week in a bar. Right now, Tues/Thurs/Sat/Sun are more than enough for me.

The Wed Longmont tourney is in the process of being moved, but to a new location in longmont. The guy who runs it has pretty much made a deal with a pool hall / resturant up there to buy 3 or 4 tables and he will move it there.
If a tourney does start at Pinkies, I would definately go if the tables were cleaned up and FIXED (lots of cracked pins, bent rods, etc) as it is real close to my house.

All the tables at the Pinkes up in Westminster are the older series of what you see at the Break Room right now. They are still playable, but the game is going to be a little different. It is really going to help players, new and old, to be able to play on tables that you are going to play big tournaments on, in my opinion. Back 'in the day', Pinkes had the best tournaments. If they would like to start running new tournaments again, I think that would be really cool, but they would definitely have to get new equipment in there.
