Do you notice how some people take their game so seriously. Those people never seem to have a good time.Even when they win!I think we could all benefit from watching the best in the world,Robert Mares. He seems to have fun no matter what, but he still keeps his focus.Alot of being competitive is staying focused on what you are doing, not thinking about what just happened.Try to keep your emotions on an even level.Don't get to high or to low because will affect the way you play. The path to true consistancy will be through balance. You can see the differance between the players who can control themselves and the ones who can't.Some guys all you have to do is get them mad and you won yourself a match.I always try to play as hard as I can,but not so hard that I forget that foosball is just a game. It's not who you are it's what you do.I have great respect for all the players who have fun but still play hard. Play Hard,Have Fun! Chris |

Good post Chris .It is hard to find that balance. I find if I have fun then I dont play as hard as I could .At the same time if I get mad (i.e. my match friday night against Spear) I just cant concentrate.I am a very competitive person and if I aint winnin then I get really down on myself, thus I dont have fun . Just something else to work on I guess.
Laters Watson P.S. Whoever said winning isnt everything in my mind didnt win very much. I prefer "winning isnt everything ,but LOSING SUCKS" |
