What is your weakness?
My shot is. Should I say my
shoulders, they can't take the intense playing for 3 days
at a major.
What do you think of the lower ranked
players out
there?
I think a lot of them are
a bunch of cry babies. This attitude of I want to win, when
your a rookie is stupid. I think the only draw I won in 4
yrs of playing was if i drew god.. I mean watch and learn
and hope for a monster. I wanted to learn so I played and
watched. This whole mentallity of keep the pro's away doesn't
bother us. We can play amongst ourselves and do.. We don't
need to play them, but they sure need us.. Most would rather
win a tourney everyone has forgotten a week later and run
their mouths. Some of the crap on this site is a joke. Rookies
writing articles about passing, playing whatever. My god I
hope their kidding.
Does foosball come
naturally to you?
I think to get to a high level
it has too. But you still have to train and practice. You
look at alot of people getting to the pro status and realizing
it is hard to excel at the next level so they stop paying
to play. It's brutal in open and all the top 50 guys are monsters,
with tons of talent.
How do you prepare yourself for big
matches?
I will know their tendencies
and weakness before we start and create a playing style to
exploit them. You cannot be one dimensional in open events.
It's a fast pace chess match, most mistakes loses. I respect
everyones game unless I'm playing them.
How many tournaments do you play a
week, if any…. And where would someone go if they wanted
to see play?
Most of the time none.. Recently one or two. Anyhere Mares
shows his mug.
You are currently ranked top 50 in
the world, what do you think about that? What do you think
separates you from the #1 player?
Doesn't really matter what
rank I am. People put to much on the rankings. The point system
is a mess. In 94 I lost 900 point without playing for 4 years
in a rated event. I am respected by all my peers at our level
and that is all that really matters. Consistency seperates
me from Fred.. LOL,had to Robby.
What was your biggest win? Or one
of your biggest/proudest moments in foosball? Biggest accomplishment?
Not sure, don't really think
to much about the wins. More thought about the loss and why...LOL...Winning
3500 with Tim Walters at worlds was fun..He was going nuts,
and we are very good friends and it was his first major.
